Daily Routine
Morning Session 08:50am - 11:20am
Lunch Club 11:20am - 12:10pm
Afternoon Session 12:10pm - 2:40pm
We use the Early Years Foundation Stage frame work and our sessions typically include:
Circle time - Where we share experiences and ideas whilst introducing elements of the curriculum via songs, actions, and group fun. You'll see information on our topics in the parent information boards outside each week so you know what we are discussing and can continue the themes at home.
Free play- Children are allowed to choose from multiple activities with a free flow between indoors and outdoors.
Snack time - During snack the children have a choice of a variety of fruit, a healthy extra such as a breadstick, cracker, rice cake etc and the choice between milk, water or their own water bottle. Snack is a completely self chosen opportunity where the children pick and serve themselves what they want and pour themselves a drink.
Physical Development - We encourage all children to be physically active during our sessions, be this dancing, climbing, jumping or running. Developing gross motor function is critical to aid development and keep children fit and healthy. As well as big movements fine motor skills are also very important and we ensure children have multiple diverse activities to develop these too.
Interactive Play - Many children learn very well from their peers so we help ensure the environment is always developing to accommodate this, with role play areas, flexible resources and encouragement of collaborative learning. Our role play corner changes weekly becoming an airport, vets, doctors, post office, space launch station etc.
We also have many seasonal activities, including celebrating a wide range of cultural events, gardening, oral hygiene, science, sports and visits.
